Well, the sun has set on our epic Baja journey!! I captured this sunset in San Juanico and I can't stop looking at this photo.π Here are a few things I learned from our adventure: β’ I had some pretty intense fear about this trip, none of it was necessary. I should have swapped the fear for caution because I never once felt even a hint of being unsafe.βοΈ β’ I LOVE the people in Baja. Everyone waves and twice I got schooled on life from locals. From the pizza shop owner to the woman working at the tienda, I have a new outlook on what happiness means to different people and it's awesome.π β’ My husband is an exceptional driver. Yet I might go see a hypnotherapist about my "riding in cars" anxiety. There were some mountain passes where I got physically weak and super light headed. Thank you @goddessoffreedom for your wonderful Kava Kava tincture to calm my nerves.π β’ 3 small rolled burritos are better than one big one.π― β’ Baja's terrain might as well be different planets. Dense cactus groves, baron desert, mountain and volcano peaks, pristine turquoise waters, sweeping white sand beaches, oasis-es (there's no plural for oasis!!), giant rock formation gardens and so much more. It's such a special place!! π²π½ β’ @saltyblinn & @blinnrl were the raddest travel buddies, Lucy misses you guys terribly already lol. β’ Surf fishing might be my new favorite hobby, fresh fish tacos followed although I can't find what kind of fish I caught anywhere!!π£ β’ Sleeping in the van was SO incredibly comfortable and I just love her so much. Solid, safe, cozy, stocked.ππ¨ β’ I'm just not sure I'll ever be a surfer girl. I learned that I enjoy being next to or on top of the ocean rather than in it (insert ocean injury here).πππ»ββοΈ β’ I'm just so crazy grateful for this life!
