idk what im doing mang i just really wanted to work with these designs again and maybe turn them into oh sees *blushes* i havent renamed them yet mostly out of embarrassment lmao. if u recognize them you get a senior discount........... or i did a bad job burying the lead hahaha
for a long time these two never meet in person. keeping the lore that the "dream realm" is this fabricated place (centuries of work and refinement have gone into its detail and intricacies) where they all get trapped in sleep and are stuck there until they defeat the ancient witch sheep lady [redacted]. they come from different paths of life and become friends while trying to solve their predicament.
girl comes from a sophisticated line of mages, attends a prestigious magic school (classic baylie tenebres oc thing to do). keeps to herself mostly, somewhat cold and reserved. she has some sort of curse on her hands (idk why yet okerrrrrr) that prevents her from using magic with them, so she wears gloves that stop the curse from spreading (or just insecure about them???). she uses a wand but it's limited in its capabilities. she excels in investigating, becomes a detective when she's older. the scar/curse that goes down half of her body was from a later incident she almost died from.
boy is a mouse familiar, he's kinda unimpressive at everything when it comes to magic (even for lowbrow familiar standards). throughout the course of their time spent in the dream realm it becomes evident that he excels in dream-based magic. i think after they defeat [redacted], the dream realm doesn't go away, so he ends up kinda serving as a watcher of sorts over it when he sleeps. he does have a day job as an adult, hes like a professor or something, maybe a librarian who incorporates the stories he reads into his dreams idk yet. :)
