i dont have much to say haha (mostly out of embarrassment hahaha i feel so out of practice talking about OCs but also i guess i never was as public with them before, just quietly existing on FB for a long time lol), theyre OCs heavily inspired by [redacted] that were originally just AU versions of the characters put in my headworld Tenebres. but ermmmmm idk i kept thinking about them and im not attached to the fandom At All and i just liked the idea of a girlboss detective mage lady with a malewife rat boy familiar as a friend/partner in solving mysteries.
they meet as kids, both being stuck inside of this dream realm for a time until they figure out how to escape/wake up. when they wake up theyre obviously living very separated lives with no way of finding/contacting each other; eventually they find each other. :) BUT ALSO I NAMED THEM NOW I GOTTA ADD TAGS!!!!!!!!!!
the boy is Braddock, he's a rat familiar (originally i said mouse but i always draw him way too big so im resigning to my failures hahaha) doesnt super excel at any type of magic, though after their time spent in the dream realm he finds that he specializes in dream magic. :) becomes a "sand man" of sorts later on in life, but he also has like a day job in a library or something.
girl is Magnolia, prodigy detective and great at it. she has a curse on her hands that gets worse if she uses magic so she wears these special gloves with runes on them that prevent her from using magic, idk what all it entails yet but i figure she can still use magic in dire circumstances, just tries not to as much as possible. as an adult she gets a magic curse/scar that extends down half of her body, i imagine it killed her or almost killed her, it's a very permanent reminder.
