this just makes me think the reason amelia earhart disappeared was to elope w/ mary

       “charlie.”  something like concern crosses over their features, legs tucked underneath their body in their chair.  it wouldn’t look like a comfortable position, but tegan’s been in more uncomfortable ones.  “i know i’m not the best person to ask for help—.”  past track records speak for themselves.  “but if you need someone, i’ll see what i could do.”  a pause.  “i’m sorry.  i seem to be making this about myself, huh.”  well, at least they’re self aware.

     ❛  it’s  a  prosthetic.  ❜  you  say  easily,  almost      mechanically.  you’re  not  really  offended  by      the  question  --  you’re  just  used  to  repeat      those  same  words  over  and  over  again.
