Wanted to take my own stab at making symbols and listing key-words for Limbus's Sin Affinities, at least from what I know of them. Some are similar to their in-game symbols, while others have diverged.
Info under a cut:
Wrath
[INDISCRIMINATE] Targets randomly
Wildfire
Boiling over
Rage and frenzy
Symbol: Flame
Keyword choice reasons:
[Indiscriminate] is derived from the description of... 99% of E.G.O Corrosions.
"Wildfire" is because of the Sin's association with raging fire.
Wrath tends to "explode" out, like a boiling pot bubbling over.
Wrath is considered "wild" and "uncontrollable", so rage and frenzy would fit.
Lust
Blood bonds
Contagion and contamination
Two-way street
Family
Symbol: DNA helix with an arrow on each end
Keyword choice reasons:
Lust is associated with the Bleed status and with Bloodfiends, and a common term for non-romantic relationships in English is "bound by blood".
Lust is described as "An obsession to spread a fragment of what forms the self" and "To share one's knowledge, one's ideas, to invite others into gaining the understanding of a sliver of oneself" by Honenheim and Yi Sang, respectively. To spread parts of oneself... like a disease, possibly, contaminating others with "you".
When one "spreads" themself, they're bound to take in parts of others, hence Lust being a "two-way street" (and the reason for me putting the two-way arrow).
Family is... well, again, Bloodfiends, along with association with cults and, yes, "carnal" lust.
Sloth
Inertia
Stubborn and stalwart
Aimless
Adamant
Symbol: Cracked mountain
Keyword choice reasons:
"Inertia" is taken from the Sin Fragment name found in Mirror Dungeons: The Sin Fragment for Tremor E.G.Os, colored yellow, is called "Fragment of Inertia".
Sloth is similar to Pride in the sense that they're both associated with stubbornness in some form.
...Which is funny, considering that Sloth can also manifest as not being able to make one's own choices and needing to rely on others to take any action.
See above.
Gluttony
Hands seeking something
Desire
Greed
Insatiable
Symbol: Tree with root system
Keyword choice reasons:
"Hands seeking something" is derived from Gluttony's endless hunger for more material satisfaction, and is also based off of the name of one of the Drifting Fox's more powerful skills (though the skill itself is Gloom-affinity): Cries Seeking Something. The fox also has Gluttony-affinity skills and a Gluttony-affinity version of its E.G.O (Outis's version of Sunshower).
"Desire" is taken from the Sin Fragment name found in Mirror Dungeons: The Sin Fragment for Rupture E.G.Os, colored green, is called "Fragment of Desire".
"Greed" is not its own Sin Affinity, instead replaced with Gloom, while Greed's association with material wealth is subsumed into Gluttony.
The themes of "hunger" associated with Gluttony make "insatiable" a given.
Gloom
Aimless and adrift
Stagnation
(Self-) Pity
Melancholy
Symbol: Bubbles and dripping water
Keyword choice reasons:
Gloom is associated with water, as seen with Ishmael and Hong Lu's base E.G.Os both being Gloom-affinity and utilizing water in some form, along with the Sin's Peccatulum also being associated with water. "Adrift" often has nautical connotations.
More water comparisons: Gloom-heavy folk tend to stagnate and wallow in their own misery, like a pool of stagnant water becoming infested with parasites and disease.
Gloom loves pity. The Drifting Fox and Blubbering Toad are both associated with self-pity and wallowing in their own misery.
Melancholy is a given.
Pride
Self-aggrandizing
Confidence
Selfishness
Arrogance
Symbol: Ornate (and double-edged) sword
Keyword choice reasons:
Pride is associated with being self-absorbed and very sure of their own superiority, hence "self-aggrandizing".
See above.
Again, see above.
Yet again, see above. Pride is very self-explanatory lmao.
Envy
Barbed wire/electric fence
Revenge
Remember
Resentment
Self-Dissatisfaction
Symbol: Ring of barbed wire
Keyword choice reasons:
Envy is associated with retaliation. The name of its associated Sin Fragment, colored purple, is called "Fragment of Friction", and its in-game symbol is a bramble of thorns: One cannot become the subject of Envy without coming into contact with the Envious one first, similarly to how one can't get pricked by brambles or shocked by static electricity without touching their source first. It is also associated with the Charge status, which is associated with electricity and "gaining steam" to consume for stronger attacks. So, comparing it to barbed wire and an electric fence seemed fitting.
Continuing off of the themes of retaliation: Revenge. It's shown off clearly with Heathcliff and the Middle syndicate.
Remember... They will not forget perceived wrongs. Whether done by the subject of their envy, or done to the subject of their envy... (again, see Heathcliff)
To desire what another has... sometimes someone else having what they want is enough to have them brush against the brambles of another's envy.
