Firstly, thanks to all who came out to see me and my fellow vendors at Barrie Public Library Comicon yesterday! #bplcomiccon #barriepubliclibrarycomiccon #barriepubliclibrary It was a good day with lots of traffic, and I'm excited to do it again next year! So today was a little bit of playtime. I splurged on a book at Michaels for some inspiration (yes, yes, I do occasionally use books for motifs and uses for techniques and such. This one is Beautiful Beadwork From Nature by Melissa Shippee, so that y'all know) and have been playing around with the patterns in it. Due to a lack of the proper beads, I've had to fiddle with the (adorable tho!) Jellyfish earring pattern, but I've got alterations that work with the Superduos I bought for another project now. I've also been half teaching myself how to cover cabs and rivolis with Peyote beadweaving, which is where the blue pair came from. Aaaand I dipped back into my clay to work on that project for the Derby in October. It's finicky, but I'm determined. All in all, a productive day. Might be the last one for a bit, though.
