Can you show/tell us what all the cards say? I would love to know

Hi darling,

I am not aprofessional so I can’t tell you whether your diagnosis is right or not. What Ido know is that whether the struggles from people with Borderline PersonalityDisorder (BPD) can be similar, they aren’t equal. There definitely aredifferences between the struggles from different people.

I do thinkit is possible to have only one person who you seem to be “imprinting”.However, it also is a possibility that this is something not caused by BPD, inwhich case it could be possible your BPD diagnosis isn’t correct. As I said, Ican’t tell you whether your diagnosis is right or not. Really the only way youcan figure this out is if you go to a professional. My gut feeling just istelling me that it’s also possible with only one person.

What I doknow is that BPD doesn’t depend solely on imprinting. There are more diagnosticcriteria. In fact, there are nine symptoms of which you need to have at leastfive to be diagnosed with BPD. The symptoms are:

Franticefforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment;

A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships;

Identity disturbance;

Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging;

Recurrent suicidal behaviour, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilatingbehaviour;

Emotional Instability;

Chronic feelings of emptiness;

Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger;

Transient, stress-related paranoid thoughts or severe dissociative symptoms.

Sweetheart,if you are doubting your diagnosis then please go to a professional. I do thinkit’s important not to compare your struggles to someone else’s struggles. Yourown struggles are valid, even if they are different than someone else’sstruggles. Everyone’s experience is different. Keep that in mind okay? <3

One lastquestion that I have is whether you are receiving treatment? There is aspecific therapy that is used a lot for people with BPD, it’s calledDialectical Behavioural Therapy (or DBT). You can find a  lot of information about it here. Please doconsider it, I think it will be very helpful for you! <3
