The astonishing thing about Boymerang isn’t the very limited amount of D’n’B music he produced from the mid to late 90’s, or the fact that the quality of said music was so high, I’m hard pressed to think of anyone else who offered such consistently outstanding tunes - no, for me it’s that he took the all mighty amen break, swapped out every drum hit with one of his own, resampled it and created the great Soul Beat Runna breakbeat which is still used today.
