in polytheism news: he’s not about conversion, he’s about everybody feeling comfy. he said it plainly and very sweetly and i love him. a world full of carpenters gets nothing done!

in sweetboy news: he told jester that she looked like a literal goddess! he carved out a path for the trip to the volcano! he helped find a solution to artagan’s issue that doesn’t hurt people too much! and he is just a good egg in general

in mvp news: he’s mvp. like. ray of enfeeblement + sentinel at death’s door is so nasty, and tal mentioned that he almost did a path to the grave, too. just. <3 <3 <3 sexy shit. what’s sexier than grave clerics? nothin

in Oh No/Mom Can You Pick Me Up I’m Scared news: he had a vision of the astral city you guys.... and he panicked over it, and asked the wildmother about it, and she didn’t fuckin’ send him that vision. she doesn’t know what it is. something about that city has permeated his mind. he is left with “primal coldness and fear.” bro. bro.

in small victories: he did eventually open up a little bit about that fear! at jester’s questioning. he didn’t wanna bring down the mood is all, which, like, bro, i get it, i’ve been there, but if you’re having cosmic horror visions, you tell people. also vilya gave him a flower because he’s a good kid

in hot winter looks news: his new outfit is: cold-treated armor. lavender coat, crimson white stitching. wool hat. black gloves and boots. heavy green pants. jacket underneath. dragonfly silk lining the coat. pattern work like his old clothes! it’s “the nicest thing i’ve ever owned.”

in other fashion news: he’s firmly on team “you can’t fight crime if you ain’t cute!” which is so valid of him. he wanted to dress in xhorhassian clothes and/or formalwear to throw trent off his rhythm. he is the best boy in the entire world.

in team cleric finally learned about the whole. thing news: he was so sad about it. he just went quiet. he was near tears; “no one should have to go through that,” with his voice breaking. he wants to make caleb know that he’s not alone.

in soft moments news: he cast word of recall at the lighthouse and made a little fairy circle there! he’s too dang tall for the brenatto apartment! he mimicked jester’s speech pattern a little bit in the chateau! his new fun caduceus clay official silly phrase to say! is “murder wizard!” and of course. he did origami in his time alone. so that’s a little sad.

in speaking of his time alone… news: beau pointed out that all of the nein have dealt with this whole “your pain made your stronger~” shit, but, yeah. let’s recall the thing constance said to him in 96. y’all know i love the clays, they’re genuinely good people, but… that mindset has hurt him and i’m just so happy that the nein found each other.

in to zadash! news: he likes zadash so much. he wants to talk to the gentleman, and he always wants to see pumat.

in trent takes news: caduceus’ hatred of trent is still blatantly clear! he was insight-checking non-stop, per tal, and he thinks trent is “dumb” and “winging it” and passive aggressively complimented trent’s mode of doublespeak repeatedly. he wants trent dead so bad.

in the He’s Fucked Up Too department: yeah. yeah no i’m done not addressing this within boylore outside of little joke. i need someone in the nein to at least make an effort to reach out to cad. from a me perspective, it just comes across as them not caring about him, and that just kinda. sucks. y’know? like. boy’s a main character. boy’s been in the show for nearly 80 episodes now. i think it’s fuckin worth having a 1-on-1 with him at least close to as frequently as the others! i know that he deflects, but. make an effort. make an effort. he’s more than just a healer who makes tea and who sometimes has bad things happen to him (how funny)!

in the here’s something to talk to him about please department: “i don’t think it’s healthy to be leaving so quickly,” he says, of the villagers–don’t rush off so quickly into a new adventure! process your pain and trauma with people who understand it; take time. and he’s right. his suggestion is the healthy thing to do. which is weird, because he left his family after a literal day of having them back for the first time in a decade. because he was afraid of them seeing the person he is around the nein and vice versa.

in the retroactive heartbreak department: he was so quiet about what he lost last week. because it was his fucking teapot.

in the he’s sweet department: his idea for a little ceremony for the villagers, with the names and the little bags and the comfort was just so. him and soft and kind. it made me happy. he also looked for the personal vestiges of the villagers and took note of them. just. he’s a good egg

in spell prep news: he acquired components for revival spells, as well as for a delightful level seven spell called temple of the gods! it's sort of a reskinned magnificent mansion, but it's got some cool divine shit too! i'm excited for that.

in fashion lad news: he wanted to get some New Looks! and when caleb seeming'ed the nein, he was openly bored and disappointed with how bland it was. get this boy some cute new clothes! and vess said new clothes were needed so... get ready for hot winter looks.

in therapize your friends news: he told beau to address her authority issues because she seems conflicted, and it was lovely. he also gave yasha some advice about moving on and moving forward using funerary metaphor. i adore him.

in sweetboy news: he bought rave sticks! and laugh powder! and was delighted by thadine! and he disguise self-ed at yasha so as to show her that her hair was changing and he fully went 😄 about it! he enjoyed fancy heaven tea! he got peer pressured into drinking but set his limits. and. well. we'll get to yashatalk soon.

in clay family vibes news: big ridiculous bonfire dancing is very sweet.

in fucked up dreams news: still thinkin about it. still not verbalizing unless explaining to researchers. no new dreams but that's ok!

in lines that stood out news: a few from this week! "everybody's haunted by who they were," "patience can curdle into apathy"

in I've Been Waiting Thirteen Episodes For This news: he and yasha had the "so about the whole Your Family thing" talk which. was lovely. he loves his family and wants to "call home" (!!! caduceus sending !!!) soon, but the situation is "complicated." he'd miss the nein and the world so much! he loves them! he has no plans to leave... he can't let go yet! and he sort of confirmed what i'd assumed--the talk of debt to the nein is sort of his way of rationalizing his desire to stay woth them; he openly acknowledged this when yasha joked "i don't think we'll be safe anytime soon." it was sweet. i was joking in the fc server that i felt a weekslong tension taken off my shoulder. so. yay!

in fuck the undead all my homies hate the undead news: he hated avantika sooo much. he was actively grouchy about radiant not hurting her more than it normally would.

in yes king killing and murder news: without vision, he blasted a lobstrosity into pieces, and was briefly (jokingly) worried thay he killed yasha

in Beefy Boy news: this fuckin skinny idiot got poisoned and paralyzed but he got better thru sheet force of will. icon

in Healer news: clutch use of mass cure wounds! gosh! sometimes a healing spell reminds me that i should be better at healing my party in battle, with my cleric. that was one of those numbers

in nature is an int skill news: he made an "i don't know" noise that made my heart happy, in response to fjord's typical assumption that caduceus is omnipotent. nature dumbass solidarity

in goofs news: the power was in avantika all along

in SwordQuest news: i just think there's something to be said on caduceus' fixation on brokenness here; that his first "project" reveals the full scope of its divinity (matt said it exalted!) around the same time caduceus begins to become comfortable with his own "brokenness"? but also it's kind of cool that something caduceus fixated on because it was beautiful and needed help is such a powerful and important thing, anyway. i love he and i love sword

in fuck mages all my homies hate mages news: he hates vess so much, and he's right. (however, i, a lesbian who loves evil and powerful magic women... hate her but in a more fun way)

in love language news: i could write a million words on cad's use of gold and food to just show affection for his friends, and the fucking hot chocolate scene... made me tear up? i'm not kidding. he was so EXCITED! and also i would love hot chocolate bombs irl; my sick brain refuses to tell me if they exist or not. anyway. he loves his friends and he wants to keep them safe and healthy, and making warm food for loved ones is the softest shit in the world.

in drugs and alcohol news: he had one drink this episode, but he did not get drunk. maybe he is learning social drinking can be fun? he also tripped through that whole emotional jester/artagan/sehanine convo. hell yeah.

in team cleric news: he’s anxious for jester & is fully on team Project Jester At All Costs. and he was so excited to commune with her!!! he put on a disguise and they held hands and everything; it was so sweet that my heart melted. lots of silly innuendo. i love them. i love them. he also seems to understand that she’s anxious so. maybe go to therapy together you two <3

in god’s not there news: for the second time, melora did not have an answer for him. this makes him “anxious,” even though he knows gods aren’t all-seeing. baby.

in eldritch hell horror time visions news: he’s seeing new parts of the city, which means, uh. hey, guys? guys? Something’s In His Head. and it’s sending him visions. and it’s not good. it’s “terrifying.” he–mostly unprompted–tells the nein about them, this time around, though, which is good! and while he claims to yussa that they’re all seeing all of these things, he mentioned some of his specific details out loud. so. maybe he’ll get called on that? anyway. i’m scared!

in Caduceus Will Cast Sending I Am Willing It Into Existence news: he responded to jester’s “i need to send my parents some messages, it’s been forever since i talked to them,” with “i feel that!” so. hey! we’re getting there!

in go to therapy news: he’s still on his “i’m fine” boat. still on his “i’m here because i owe all of you debts” boat.he’s a liar. he’s a liar. bro’s in denial about loving his friends. which makes sense, because he has never had friends before. but still. :(

in our house / in the middle of our house news: his room made him. very happy. it also made me very happy. beetle on the door! large furniture stained glass window of the families wooden furniture, much like the grove tea station, endless boiling water fungi room! crystals! plants! a bunch of plants with a beetle colony! 4 post-bed, brass bathtub, steaming water

in jokester news: he did mid-air flips in the mansion for fun! he blessed beau’s ball bearing shenanigans! he wishes he’d asked for dessert at the dinner, after everything! 

in walk walk fashion/safety baby news: he’s getting new armor from pumat! it’s +1, which is good, bringing his ac up to. 20 iirc? he drew out some designs to give pumat, because the aesthetics matter, okay?

in firbolg news: he and pumat are still adorable in their interactions.

in nightmares news: he quietly brings up the eyes of nine more than anyone else--perhaps with the exception of beau, who is pepe silva-ing and livin her best life, of course. but those visions are fucking him up!

in. you know. news: he doesn’t want to resurrect molly, but he’s--[sighs] down for a conversation. 

in Let’s Not Talk To Our Parents news: he does not mention that he lives near shadycreek. we’ll see how things go in two weeks, but if the nein heads that way, they do have shelter. if cad offers.
