RP @donnamaria1961 πππππ Many times, we have shown the sweet side of African or Asian Elephants, but they also have a fiercely protective side that we humans must respect. This was filmed by a touring company who takes visitors through areas where wild elephants live. These elephants have seen the worst side of humans and the Matriarch at the back, wanted nothing to do with curious tourists and the driver read her body language correctly the second her eyes made contact with his. Elephants have been on earth for 55 million years. They've seen their migratory land turn from a Garden of Eden, into roads, and they've had to cope with us a lot more than they would like to. The Matriarch is the leader. She's in charge of protecting her family and she's also teaching the youngest elephant who trumpets after her, to be aware and to not trust us humans. The Matriarch has likely witnessed the devastation that Poachers have done to herds and this smart elephant made it known to back off. Elephants can and do flip vehicles like they're nothing, if they feel threatened in any way. Please always respect animals and their right to live in their natural environments. Because we do not belong in their homes and they don't belong in our Zoos or Circuses. Caption by @donnamaria1961 Downloaded from You Tube via Tube2Gram.
