From the beginning of working on this project I have wanted to avoid using a typical box.. so I challenged myself to think (outside the box) of a less recognised definition of a box. I suggested that a vagina could be considered as a box in class but once I got to thinking about this as a concept I decided to stick with it. So, I am working towards representing the transformation of a female box, more in a visual representation of my artwork rather than the transformation of a vagina... In class I experimented with magnification as a form of transformation and I loved it. I have always found it interesting to take high definition photos of things like flowers and then manipulate their representation through extreme cropping so I would love to see how this goes. I want to work with pencil, watercolours and photography.
