just about the time the japanese earthquake hit my favorite boxing portal at justin.tv went down. I don't wish to make currency for the enormous disaster befalling the Japanese, just that every time there is a break in the net over 'here' the official line is 'the Pacific cable has been damaged by seismological activity'. Thus the earthquake seemed a plausible and surprisingly believable scenario to dine with.Â
Back to justin.tv;I was personally using it to stream fights and documentaries and films primarily related to heavyweight fighting and thank you very much, building a healthy following, alongside following many other boxing sites.
Double jeopardy kicked in today while in Korea where equally I am unable to access due technical glitches and while now return to China where justin.tv is banned Damn I will have to wait until some time in the future when I will once again get back to this site.
I will pass this message in something related to the May 7 fight with Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao and that is that both guys bring their A games. From a Mosley perspective I think i write for many from the following post on my personal website at www.darktrunk.com
May 7 'Sugar Shane Mosley vs Manny Pacquiao The old boxing adage is 'never say you've had a bad camp', and with so many publicity guys out there makin' a dime from bustin' a rhyme to sell some pie it is hard to put any credibility on such a report beyond, it would seem that Pacquiao is 'getting ready', just like his opponent would be.
If the fight were a few years back you might put money on Mosley who always looked, and looks better against smaller opponents. That opportunity came a year ago against Floy Mayweather and he couldn't grab the bulls horns, instead offering post fight hype of 'over trained or tension in the neck muscles'.;all plausible but also all belonging within the realms of fighters who have gone beyond use by dates.
Nothing would please me greater (in the world of boxing) than to see Mosley perform well once again, but discounting the first 2 rounds of the Mayweather fight it's now 22 rounds of 'very ordinary fare' from 'Sugar Shane', and equally a long time back now from the tiger wagging the tail of summer with Cotto and Margarito.(for the non boxing readers two former world champs who Mosley fought in 2007 & 2009)
At best i feel we'll see Mosley come out again firing, but then when time catches up with the machinery the mindset of preservation to nullify the southpaw. (i was going to use congressman, but we vilify the Whitehouse, as we should, yet deify this bloke because he holds office....get a wry smile from that), will kick in, and that much needed 'superfight' will evaporate quicker than love in the face of halitosis from that first kiss.
