 For the King of Bloodweiser
Once upon a time, the only place you could find a family of bloodthirsty vampires were dark and dreary abandoned castles. In the comic book, Rednecks, a small group of vampires live quietly in the farmland of Sulphur Springs, east of Texas. For uncle Bartlett, nothing couldnât be sweeter than sitting outside in his favorite rocking chair watching the night sky with his niece Perry and drink a nice warm bottle of Bloodweiser. But as evening sets, a group of boys charge towards the family truck for a night out on the town to catch some local action at Titty joint. Â Both JV and uncle Bartlett this feels like a bad idea allowing them on Christmas Eve to a place of thirsty temptation. Here the review of Rednecks.
Just from the beginning of the story, the Bowman family has suffered a personal tragedy from the past. And since that time, have lived a lifetime of solitude from the world drinking the blood of animals to sustain themselves. Unfortunately, the family has some young male vampires named, Slap, Seamus, and Greg, who are over 65 years old, just children in vampire years. Concerned for the boys behavior, uncle Bartlett follows them into town only to find them already in trouble with some of the men at the bar. Trying to avoid an incident, uncle Bartlett manages to calm the situation until Father Landry comes into the alleyway and things go from bad to worse.
The comic book offers a brief telling how the Bowmans and the Landrys have had a bitter feud for generations. For Father Landry, seeing Bartlett and his boys gives the impression heâs been wanting a confrontation to happen. Bartlett knows better than to go head to head with Landry knowing his familyâs history could alarm the town folks and might jeopardize their oasis. Â Love the artwork/ Itâs simple yet very descriptive in conjunction with each scene. The storyboard exchanges with the characters offers a fatherly connection with the young male vampires. Oh, how parents go through the trials and tribulations for sake of their kids. Â Look forward reading the next installment of Rednecks and recommend this comic book for the vampire enthusiasts out there who love a good O+ vampire family story. Issue # 2 out May 24th.
