Finally, my Clawdia design XD. It took me so long to get her right, omg!! But here's her ref sheet with a few concept sketches at the side (theyre a few months old)
She's the mother of all the Koopalings AND Bowser Jr (I couldn't let it go ok???) Yes some of them still dont have her features, they got em from their grandparents, which ill draw headshots of sometime!!

She's a very strong, warrior type of character, she actually served in Bowsers army, it's how they met in the first place!! She never even began to think she could get with Bowser, but he fell in love pretty much instantly (as he does lol) He admired her, her strength and beauty, her passion for defending his kingdom. Of course he was too scared to tell her that XD. So instead he promoted her to team 4 captain, she was beyond grateful, but she had no idea Bowser partly did it to spend more time with her lol. They got closer as months went by and he finally plucked up the courage to ask her out. Clawdia's initial reaction was to laugh it off, there was no way the almighty king Bowser wanted to be in a relationship with HER. But Bowser wasn't laughing he just stared into her eyes waiting for an answer. Realising this was real she accepted very quickly and Bowser let out a booming laugh going back to his regular self. After all why wouldn't she want someone like him, he thought.
More months went by and he decided to propose (we know he likes to move fast) and Clawdia immediately said yes!! During their marriage Bowser constantly told her to quit her job but she always refused, it was her passion, the reason she came here, marriage wasn't going to change that!!
Years later, they welcome their kids one by one and they couldn't be happier, though Clawdia basically raised them alone since Bowsers duties always got in the way. He always said it was fine like this, not seeing the strain it had on Clawdia....
Several months after Jr was born, a war broke out in another kingdom... Clawdia wanted to be sent out to help, Bowser refused but she stubbornly went anyway (it was a kingdom not so close with Bowser and she wanted her kids to be safe) While she was gone Bowser tried to look after the kids and be a king but ultimately ended up neglecting them and leaving them with other troops, putting his work first...
Only days later the news came that Clawdia had passed away... She got shot by an ally who got scared and betrayed the team... Bowser spiraled after this, he couldn't handle it, he didn't speak for months and completely stopped caring for the kids... The older ones being devastated and hating him while the younger ones had no idea what was going on...
Weeks after that he started telling people hed moved on even though he never could accept her death.. he started showing interest in Princess Peach, this was to cope but he claimed that he was in love with her.. He began to obsess over her which eventually lead to kidnapping her. Of course, Mario came to rescue her, but fighting Mario gave Bowser a thrill, a thrill that made him forget things.. This went on for years and years, Bowser was persistant, he even made the older kids fight Mario.. (dw, he apologises profusely for this and everything else eventually and tries to be a better father) this is where canon comes into play XD. He never really stopped kidnapping Peach until my present au time (where he decides to kidnap Plum instead) He kept his cold personality and was addmitidly an asshole, Clawdia's death broke him and he only got better after he saw Hazel's influence on the family.. Now you know why Bowser is strict and the way he is.. Sorry if this doesnt make sense i had to kinda rush it since im gonna be late XD.
