I’m so angry that they made Bernadette a baby on TBBT Bernadette clearly didn’t want kids and had a legitimate reason for not wanting them. She spent her whole life looking after millions of brothers and sisters watching her mom do the same while her father literally did nothing to help out.
They couldn’t have just let it been okay that she didn’t want kids. They couldn’t have just let Howard and her dad and everyone else be okay with it. Instead the show had to let Bernadette be talked into it.
What makes it worse is that, exactly what Bernadette was afraid would happen happened. Bernadette ended up stressed and overwhelmed by the baby and obviously unhappy; if they were gonna force this baby plot on Bernadette’s character they could of at least had Howard mature a little and step up to the plate, instead of running around being a man child with Raj while they both sit around and dismiss Bernadette’s feelings.
I could have sworn that that the agreement they made was that if Bernadette had a baby then Howard would do the majority of the care giving and the care of it??? Was that in my head?
Like I know people can change their mind about things but it’s okay to validate the idea that some women don’t want and will never want kids. If the show can make Sheldon express vehemently that he does want touch the baby I think they should have been able to have Bernadette stand firm on her stance on kids and have Howard accept that and be supportive.
