#bow headcanons

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀headcanons for my favorite archer!

· Bow wasn't the name his dad gave to him at birth. (This can be because he is trans or because he change it just because)

· He was 16 at the beginning of the series and 19 at the end

· Contrary to popular belief, he has a lot of sisters. Is the main reason why he's baby and drinks respect women juice all day

· He doesn't like bananas. Why? He just... doesn't. Idk

· His first kiss was with a boy (because bi king) and Glimmer was so jealous because she had never kiss anyone.

· He had on and off crushes with Glimmer since they were like 14. He is just really good at hiding his love-feelings

· He really liked Angella. He felt like she was the mom he never had (not that he wanted one, but yk)

· he writes songs. That's it.

· He wears crop tops because one of his sisters started to send him a lot of those (because she also likes using them) so he tried them and LOVED THEM

· He wants many babies because 1) he loves babies and 2) he has a big family so he's used to the big parties and all that

· He makes his own arrows from scratch! He's really good with wood work but he never brings it up

· He eventually gets a piercing for Glimmer, as we know, but he also gets a tattoo to match with Glimmer. They don't tell anyone because Glimmer would have to accept her wings are just tattoos she got without permission.

· He sleeps with A LOT of pillows and stuffed animals. He just likes to feel the bed crowed.

· This in the future leads to him letting his kids sleep with him almost every night.

· Everyone knows Bow before he starts dating officially Glimmer. People recognized him as her best friend before, but then they recognize him from his speech during Horde Prime's attack.

Sorry these aren't very romantic

Adora:

Would defiantly try to figure out how you would change every day

“But why?”

"How?"

"Have you always been like this?"

She didn’t mean to investigate you but being raised by the horde just kinda made her like that

But as soon as you bring up the fact that you feel like you’re being interrogated she’d stop

And apologize endlessly

She didn’t want you to be uncomfortable it’s just wild to her

Glimmer:

She'd think it super cool

Would totally make a code word to know it's you

It probably wouldn’t even be a real word just the first thing that pops out of her mouth

Or a secret handshake

Would 100% use this as a way to prank people

She’d think about all the downsides but might not say anything about if you don’t

Before the code word/handshake she’d be really spooked by you

“Who is this random stranger? Acting like they know me, pff as if...oh wait shit! (Y/n)!”

Bow:

He’d want to ask a lot of questions but be too scared he’d make you upset or uncomfortable

After you to get closer he’d have more confidence to talk to you about it

He’d make up some way of knowing it's you (like Glimmer but not as extra)

If the constant changing was something you really couldn’t handle and wanted to stop he’d help you find a way to do so

But he’d keep it on the down-low unless you say otherwise

Because he doesn’t think it’s something he should share

Which is probably why you trusted him with helping you on this one

Perfuma:

She’d be a bit confused 

Not sure if she could believe you at first

So in order to get her to trust you, you make up some type of code

She is shook

“So you look different every day? Well, that certainly is something, huh?”

Would be as understanding as she could be

As soon as she knows it's you she’d treat you like nothing was different from yesterday

Which you greatly appreciate

She'd have some questions but I don't know if she'd ask them

Mermista:

Mermista might not really believe you at first

“Mhmm, yeah, I thought Seahawk was done with his stupid pranks”

After a while, though she couldn’t really deny that you were telling the truth

And at that point, she’d gotten used to the idea

Basically, Mermista would be the most chill about it

She doesn’t see much reason to ask about it I mean as long as she knows it's you she's fine

But if you start acting weird/ out of character for yourself she’d get defensive about if its really you or not

Seahawk:

He’d think it’s totally epic!

Like Glimmer, he might use your ability to help him prank 

Or get out of tight situations

We don’t really know what he gets up too but I imagine it’s nothing good

So not being able to be traced back to him all the time might be a good thing

“Oh (Y/n) please help!”

“I...I don’t know this man”

As no one's ever seen YOU with him they can't be bothered to question you

Eventually, though you would give in and help the poor man

This has taken forever so please forgive me for that. I’m trying to stay on top of my asks, but school comes first.

Seahawk + Bow x introverted reader

Seahawk

Seahawk is far from being introverted

He loves people

He gets energy a joy from being the center of attention

You however, do not

Believe it or not though Seahawks need to be the center of attention actually helps you out a lot

If you’re ever in public and don’t want to deal with people, or are embarrassed because the attention is on you…

Seahawk to the rescue!

This man is doing something absolutely insane to keep everyone’s eyes off of you

He tries his best to make you laugh when he does this too.

He doesn’t understand what it’s like to get tired from being around people, so he doesn’t bother to do anything different from normal. That is of course until he sees how it effects you

He sees your anxiety and your fatigue and he feels awful because he didn’t think to accommodate you

From now on he takes extra care of your wellbeing and notices when your being overwhelmed

He never pushes you to go to any social events

He also learns how to calm you down and take care of you when you’re overwhelmed

Bow

This boi may not understand introvertedness, but he does know how to deal with it

He always asks if you are okay to go out or if you want to stay home

He understands that you can only take so much social interaction, so after a party he knows you won’t want to go out for a little while

And he respects that

When you’re in public he tends to stay by your side because he wants to help you with your anxiety

He knows sometimes that you worry that your a burden because you are introverted, but he assures you that you aren’t

He reacts to your emotions really well

He is extremely empathetic, so he realizes very easily when you’re overwhelmed

When you are he works quickly and subtly to remove you from the situation

* After confessing, they decide to take things slow first. They are trying to figure their feelings out!

* Bow has had many on and off crushes with Glimmer

* When eventually people find out, they are either surprised they are dating or already saw it coming.

* Of both, Bow is who makes Glimmer a blushing mess all the time.

* Glimmer and Bow slept together all the time before Adora came

* Glimmer at first is afraid to tell Micah they're dating, but after seeing their dynamic, she decides to do it

* Because of her self doubt, Bow has to reassure her everytime he is really in love with her and loves her.

* Angella secretly wanted them to eventually date

* Glimmer let's Bow read her diary every week

* Bow once read a page of Glimmer's diary we're she described him as his "knight in shining armor" and he takes that as her first "hint" of romantic love for him

* Bow sneeks in the mornings to Glimmer's room so they can sleep together a couple of hours

YES I LOVE THIS

Bow uses contact lenses so nobody knows he actually needs glasses. Then when eventually their kids start having vision problems Glimmer is like "I mean...I'm daughter of an immortal being which makes me really healthy..."

So he just blames it on Lance because why not.

Maybe he later on starts to use them so his kids don't feel weird using them, and Glimmer LOVES it so he then just uses them

Similar to Adora you were naive about the real evils of the horde

And when you found out during your first mission you tried to stand up against the horde

“This is wrong! They’re innocent people!” You’d yell to your commander

When you didn’t back down the horde you begin to attack you as well

And being an entire army you didn’t get away without a few injuries

You would run for as long as you could but with being shot in your leg and losing blood it couldn’t keep going

So you’d fall to the ground praying someone would come along to help

And lucky for you Bow just so happened to be on his way to Glimmer and Adora

Panic quickly filled Bow the moment he saw you

But when you made no advances to attack and instead let out a soft plead for help Bow realized the injuries

Of course, he was hesitant to help but he couldn’t just leave you

When he took off your helmet to better hear you boi was shook

why does the horde as so many gorgeous people???

Like that’s not fair

Bow would do his best to help with your injury with what he had on him

At least stop the bleeding so he could get you somewhere safer

As he helped he asked what you were doing out here… without the rest of the horde

You’d explain to him about how sorry you were and that you didn’t know

Once you were good enough to go Bow would help you walk and lead you to find Glimmer and Adora to try and figure things out

During the walk, you would talk more

Bow would be heckin’ nervous the whole time

Because of 1. You’re a horde soldier and he’s not 100% sure if you’re honest

And 2. His gayness (bi-ness?)can’t handle such a beautiful boy

After getting to the castle and gaining the trust of Glimmer and Adora you would join the fight against the horde!

Bow would try his best to help you understand the real world
