Elsa was acutely aware that she had no right to be this nervous. After all, her sister had been forced into this position for years so it was only right that Elsa should strive to actively be the change she hoped was coming now that things had settled down. And she had come this far, checking her sister's bedroom then asking after the present staff as to her whereabouts. The decision had already been made and the proper desserts already stolen from under the cook's wary gaze so even if she felt nervous she had no rightful claim to it.
She shifted her weight to her opposite foot then back, then rubbed her arm with her unoccupied hand before drawing a deep, steadying breath. This was something she wanted, something she assumed her sister wanted as well. Which meant that she had to shove aside her concerns and ignore the bundle of nerves that knotted within.
For a moment she hesitated, then brought one ungloved hand up to knock on the library's door which swung gently open once pressured was applied. Straightening her shoulders, Elsa eased it further back and poked her head inside.
"Anna? Are you in here?" She held the box in her hand a little higher and added, "I managed to grab some of those soft truffles from the kitchen."
