The Widower’s Wife by Cate Holahan was a #botmaddon that I’ve had for a while. “Ana, a young wife and mother, falls off a cruise ship into deadly waters. Her body is not found. She leaves behind a very large, recently bought, life insurance policy. The insurance company sends an investigator. He begins to uncover secrets - some secrets that people would kill to keep hidden...” This us an early book by Holahan. She’s become very good at the domestic thriller. She keeps us guessing on the characters. One you despise but then some things make you question that and others make you hate them even more 😮🤔 A surprise ending and twist. I really like the investigator, Ryan Monahan. He’s a damaged bundle of issues. I hope that Holahan has more stories planned for him.
