>Nocturne.
>It’s been such a long, long time since your body has had a moment to rest. Almost a year without sleep, without meditation, without proper nutrition. You were a poor facsimile of what you once were.
>As you lay there on Saro’s couch, skin coated a dusty black from the last whispers of the battle for your Sanctuary, your body finally begins to heal itself for the first time since your consciousness was stolen.
>It’s not pretty. It’s not clean. No shred of you has enough energy or reserves to accomplish what it wanted, but it was trying. If you’d managed to regain consciousness at the current moment, all you would be greeted with would be a wall of pain; impregnable and stony. Your form was re-writing itself without the codex Trigon had been supplying you. It was piecing together remnants of vague, unsure memories of approximations of who you were before your skin had reddened and your hair had lost its color completely.
>The worst of it was your mind, scattered and broken somewhere deep within yourself. The bits you’d already gathered were fleeting and far less than was necessary to run your Body at all.
>Minds were always harder to heal. The wounds to your flesh would close up as soon as there was enough energy to spare, but the likelihood that your mind would recover nearly as fast was questionable at best.
>You needed to rest.
>You were exhausted and broken.
>At least Saro’s couch was comfortable.
