I'm really fascinated by the idea of Kanji interacting with Nanako. Or conversely Ai. I remember someone pointing out that they're basically the gender bent version of each-other (Ai that is). What are your thoughts?
I can definitely see it! I'd need to go over Ai's sl again, it's been awhile... though if I remember correctly, she had a similar story in that both her and kanji were bullied for not conforming to society's standards for their gender[Ai with her weight i believe and Kanji with his interests/personality]. They both changed themselves and/or put up fronts as a form of protection but weren't really happy this way. There could be more similarities but I'd have to go through both their stories again.
As for dynamic though... it's hard for me to say tbh. I'm lowkey bad at reading relationships i will not lie 💀BUT I like to imagine that if they ever met and became friends they'd be the type to be very blunt w eachother but like. In a supportive way if you get what I mean. I think they could tease e/o abt crushes for fun.
