why does the new Boruto chapter feel so OC?😭
I don't know, it's like they're praising the ideas that Sakura's fans have about her and her family more than anything else. What's with the "people say shit about my family" thing in Sakura?😭😭 Sakura talking about Itachi to Sarada? It's fine, but she's giving her the little bit of knowledge she has to make her daughter feel calm, and everyone's like, "Wow, Sasuke is so close to Sakura"
Hi anon!
What does feel ooc is Ikemoto allowing Sarada and Sakura to interact or just giving Sakura more than one page. When I saw the preview, I thought, "Oh great, Sakura was finally given a role and time to speak with her daughter." Feels crazy, right?
I know some Sakura fans wanted her to trust her daughter and husband, but at what price? Is that really the interaction they wanted? What is there to praise? The sneak peek was fine. It sounded like Sakura was going to warn Sarada about the use of the MS and tell her to use it only as a last resort.
Then, I expected some kind of development like "I'm going to train in a new technique" or "I'm going to search for a solution." Then nothing, nada, niet.
I think they released the "right" panel to make us hopeful. Because seriously, why would Sakura fans praise the following?
Are they really happy about Sakura claiming that she would cast everything aside for Sasuke in Naruto? The same fans who swear that Sakura isn't obsessed with Sasuke? And Ikemoto is stating, through Sakura herself, that yes, she is. And is it, of all Sakura's traits, a good thing that Sarada inherited that one? Not only that, but she's comparing Sarada fighting for a boy to Sasuke fighting for justice and revolution, and to Itachi who committed a massacre for the sake of a village? Like, really?
Are they really happy that Sakura doesn't even try to convince Sarada not to use the MS again? Just because she's aware of the danger? She's not only risking blindness, she plays with her health. She fainted every time she used it. People in Naruto can actually die from chakra exhaustion... but that's fine if she's aware of the risks.
Sakura is again put in a position of passivity, resigned herself to "I can't do anything" and hiding her true feelings. So she didn't mature, good I guess.
I think since the timeskip, people are judging Sakura because of Sasuke's choice to help Boruto (someone they all think killed Naruto), which makes him, in theory, a traitor. Same with Sarada; we're shown Shikadai thinking of Sarada (and Himawari) as idiots because they support Boruto. So I'm guessing that's what she means by saying that people talk shit about her family.
On the surface, it may sound nice, giving Sakura some space and exploring some of her feelings on the situation, but when you think about it for more than one minute, it's just bad and sad. Like Sakura, you're a doctor (Tsunade ordered Naruto not to use Rasenshuriken for his health despite creating it for Sasuke's sake) and a mother; you're allowed to tell your daughter that you're worried and don't want her to use the MS.
Also, I'm so tired of Sarada being reduced to "I want to help Boruto and be his strength." Like, yeah, the girl had a dream before the timeskip and it was her driving force.
