A happy summer morning.

      right when joonhyung places his last article of folded clothing inside of his suitcase, he hears the muffled ringtone that indicated someone had sent him a text message. blankets are grabbed and pulled out of the way to reveal his mobile. a soft expression takes over at the words of endearment given to him by his friend. he doesn’t waste any time to type up a quick reply.

[ SMS - 준형 ]  I know, I know~. I am well aware of how capable you are when it comes to looking after yourself but you know me. I cannot help but worry. That is what happens to you when you have been the eldest child in the family and your sisterly instincts extends to your friends as well ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. 

[ SMS - 준형 ]  A bear? Considering how I have not heard of any bears roaming the streets after having escaped from their cages, I think it is safe to say that no bear will be coming after you for their meal. Unless, you decided to go into their territory. Then that becomes a completely different story. You know what to do when you run into a bear right? Well, first you have to see which kind of bear you are encountering because grizzly bears and black bears behave differently in a situation. 

[ SMS - 준형 ]  How to tell the difference? The best way is to look at their shoulders. A grizzly bear has a shoulder hump while the black bear lacks it. Oh, and a black bear has taller ears! Anyways, about how to deal with them. Of course, the most logical thing to do if you see the bear in the distance is to turn around and avoid the bear at all costs but in the event you have a close encounter, back away slowly and don’t run as you keep an eye on it for its reaction. I can go on but as you can see, I think I have said more than enough about this topic. At least the nature documentary I watched is finally put into good use ㅋㅋ.

It was a Saturday night, which meant the dancefloor was packed and bodies were tightly pressed together, the music sending rough vibrations through all that stood before the array of expansive speakers. Jessica had just left the thick crowd of surging dancers, a light sheen of sweat glowing on her cheeks and collarbones, the bar was the next destination in her drunken mental map, humming to herself with the song that played overhead. The bar was tucked down the back, away from the epicenter of the pumping stereo, conversation down here was a little more plausible.

As expected, the bar was jammed with bodies too, but Jessica was a city-girl, using her shoulders and elbows to gently slide through towards the bartender who was busy making rounds by customers waving notes. A shot of tequila was ordered, and in the soft space where she needed to wait, a sudden bump came to her side; and despite her heels, a male figure was standing tall over her with an expression of pure fear plastered on his face.

The escort had only a moment to study the situation and from the laughing group of males behind him, she figured they’d pushed this poor soul as a joke in her direction. A brow lifts fine on her forehead and she glances to the youth who was still speechless. “Darling, you can close your mouth---” Jessica responds in good nature, passing across her payment for the shot.
