Headcanon A: gay <3 also he thinks of mana and atem as his little sister and brother!! and treats them as such (with exasperation but also pride)
Headcanon B: he has anticipated any prank mana and atem could play on him, and as such is no longer surprised by any of their attempts to startle him or throw him off
Headcanon C: there’s an implication in the manga that he realized something evil was dwelling within the millennium ring and he was using most of his (extremely powerful) magical ability to keep that evil contained, and like. i think that would be awfully draining :( like he gets tired really easily, and has to wave away mana and atem (and the rest of atem’s advisors, sometimes) even when he really wants to hang out with them, but he needs to rest so that he can keep up the fight against the evil in the ring (that he doesn’t realize is zorc yet)
Headcanon D: idk i think he still lives on in dark magician <3 like even after all these years, some portion of mahad remains in this card, and watches over yugi the way he watched over the pharaoh <3 that might be canon but like i don’t know, i like it anyway
Maybe a pic of good ol Blue-Eyes Kaiba in his dragon form, kinda curled around Yami to protect him? Just some good old hurt/comfort stuff.

Got Red-Eyes and a very not final version of Joey. Due to Joey having Red-Eyes and Thousand Dragon as his linked monsters, he’s altered significantly by their influence. Joey does not have the fortune of bonds with other people, so he formed a very strong emotional attachment to his dragons that reflects in his eyes and his sharpened teeth. He and Kaiba fight on dragonback when they cross paths, and the scars that their respective monsters (Kaiba’s three Blue-Eyes and Joey’s two dragons) have are from those brutal airborne quarrels. Not seeking to kill, but definitely to defend precious resources.

IF Kaiba decided to obtain a bird of prey as a falconer... What would he choose? I view him having a Eurasian Eagle Owl. I'm obsessed with Yöll on youtube and I can see Kaiba having a huge owl like that. And having a very strong bond with it. His attention to detail would help him really pick up any of the body language, he'd probably learn some of the vocalizations and stuff.
Personally I'm a hawk and vulture person because of the wild raptors I've befriended.
1) this is such an interesting and specific au you’ve presented and i’m fascinated by what made you come up with it
2) personally i think if kaiba were to do this he would end up with a bird that lives in japan natively? all this to say peregrine falcons breed in japan so that feels right to me
consider: just... Giving one of the characters freckles. Just imagine like... Mokuba looking even cuter than usual, or Kaiba. Or any of the other characters... Time to draw Kaiba with them. Sorry, just wanted feedback :D

Consider: Kaiba has a Dratini. She is a smol little one who is undersized. She becomes a huge Dragonite eventually. Her name is Kisara. No one expects her to get so big, and she ends up completely wiping the floor with Kaiba's opponents. Idk I'm super hyped up on espresso and this Pokémon idea is delightful.
