This was a lot of fun to write, albeit challenging. I set out to write Carlo realizing his love for Boris, but he's not quite there yet. I think he doesn't realize he's also attracted to men yet, despite his appreciation for them. Well maybe after this he does. I don't go into internalized homophobia here, but that's probably an obstacle too.
Take a look at the tags before reading, but I do think this is a pretty cozy fic honestly. Despite all the talk of death, and despite having to listen to the inner monologue of Carlo, there's also the simple pleasure of admiring a tall, masculine, handsome man π
