An average coup happens every 13 years in Thailand. The last coup was in 2014. So technically, we are only a few years until another coup happens. To avoid a coup, the Thai government tries to prolong power. The focus is on border clashes, especially with Cambodia. Border conflict also occurs with Myanmar, but that conflict does not evoke as much nationalist emotion in Thailand as the border issues with Cambodia. They do not want our temple nor our land. They want to win. As international eyes watch, they will put on their power mask for as long as they can. Let the truth be told: Thailand is an aggressor and an invader, a power-hungry monster. They will keep this conservative establishment in power for a long time, despite losing the election. (The one who truly wins will be kept out.) Cambodia will win with heart and spirit. Prayers to our troops and civilians along our border. -- Sokhak Tham
