He’s a nerd - I call everyone nerd but Tails actually has amazing intelligence. I’m no Tails, but I can relate to anyone who’s been bullied for being intelligent, and not fitting in. But now, he’s a hero, but he doesn’t use brawn, always his brain, and I love that.

He’s the *original* sonic fanboy - That’s just hilarious to me! I love the idea that every now and again when he and Sonic became friends, he’d surprise Sonic with some creepy obscure fact about him that he didn’t know Tails knew.

He’s, in fact, adorable - this is indisputable. He’s fluffy, he’s chubby (slightly), he’s shy, he’s super smart yet still really kiddy… he’s just… awwww!

He has a really kind heart - He’s the one who, when Sonic says something a bit sharp, tries to make it all better. He’s extremely selfless and usually has high spirits. I reckon Tails is that friend who, if ANYONE ever lays a finger on, everyone jumps to defend him because he’s just THAT cutie that you just can’t hurt no how dare you. A* for explanation right here.

He’s grown up - I really like his character arc: going from not going anywhere on his own, getting some confidence in himself, now seeing himself more as an equal and recognizing his own worth… uhhh I never know how much of this I’m on a flight of fancy for, but in Sonic, I tend to build and over-elaborate on every tiny piece of information so :]

I have a lot of headcanons for him - I can never love a character I can’t headcanon for. Simple as.

Oh, in the first place? Well, I thought he was a girl for a long while, and I’ve always kinda liked the Idea that he is genderfluid/agender, and that’s one of my favourite headcanons - ‘cause you can bet Sonic wouldn’t be the type to tell his new kid apprentice they weren’t allowed to wear and identify how they want! He’s a ‘freedom fighter’!

Anyway, first loved Tails… well, I always loved that he took his tails - probably some kind of birth defect (headcanon that there would have been conjoined twins, but one never properly developed/died) - and uses them to fly! It’s just so random - if they wanted a flying character, they could’ve used a bird, but I’m so glad they didn’t!
