I see your Millenial Pause and raise you a Boomer Pause: it's when my parents call me on the phone and wait a full 10 seconds before they start talking. Mind you I've been saying hello for 10 seconds, and theyv' heard me say hello for 10 seconds, but they will not talk until they make the call is still going after 10 seconds. I don't know what phone trauma they have that makes them like this.
