I came by this book via Booktasters, in exchange for an honest review.<br /><br />There’s much to say about this book, in essence, we have characters who are pretty cool at first, which led me to believe this would be a typical chick lit/mystery kind of book, I couldn’t have been more wrong.<br /><br /> Very soon into the story, though, I got the nagging sensation that not everything was well with one of the main characters, if you pay attention, every sign is there to lead you to the right conclussion, a painful conclusion, yet as a reader, I could not help but keep liking them, and I was terribly worried what would happen if and when they were found out. Elsa Joseph is a master at describing the reactions of the main character, as well as her feelings when reality unveils before her eyes, and when the consequences of that reality hit the reader, you can’t help but taking sides.<br /><br />Whatever our decision would be when facing a situation like the book presents us with, the decisions our protagonist makes every time might anger us or make us feel related, and that is what we should look for in a book, something that makes us feel, wether it enraged, happy, sad, scared, but something that awakes even our most primal emotions, is definitely worth the read. This book did that for me. Definitely worth a read.
