Getting ready to make some pies today 🥧 Just finished the July chapters for our #bookishbites789 buddy read of Summer Of A Thousand Pies by @fumblingtowardokay 💙 I am loving this book so much, and can’t wait to talk about it tomorrow.

Officially finished reading the first 10 chapters of Summer Of A Thousand Pies by @fumblingtowardokay and am having to force myself to put it down until we do our June discussion for our #bookishbites789 buddy read! I am loving so many things amount this book right now😍

It has been a hard couple of days so @itsjustme0914 decided that we needed a good family meal for Memorial Day.

.

He made us Char Siu Pork from @alanakysar Aloha Kitchen. Both girls absolutely loved this meal! It was sweet and perfectly cooked.

.

The meal that was so amazing it made my husband @itsjustme0914 join instagram so I could tag him for his mad culinary skills👨‍🍳

As we continue this #bookishbites789 adventure, tonight Josh made Maui-Style Kalbi Short Ribs from @alanakysar Aloha Kitchen. The process actually started yesterday with a 24 hour marinade, and the end result was worth the wait! You may notice these ribs don’t look like the traditional ribs you would get if you ordered a rack of ribs, and that is because they are butchered Korean or flanken style. The end flavor is sweet and tangy and soooooo delicious!

Escaping my house to grab a quick snack of Butter Mochi from @alanakysar Aloha Kitchen and to read a few more chapters of Moloka’i. The Butter Mochi is even better today than it was last night when it was freshly made for dessert! It is sweet and just the right amount of coconut!

Tonight’s dinner is Teriyaki Beef Sticks from @alanakysar Aloha Kitchen 😁

These were easy and delicious! A perfect weeknight meal. I also made a batch of Butter Mochi and can’t wait to curl up with a slice a Moloka’i to read tonight! I am about 100 pages in and I am completely sucked into the story.
