Well I'm dead
I did a stupid thing. It seemed like a good idea at the time though. Basically, in french this year (I go to a french school), we're reading four books: three with pretty much no female characters apart from romantic interests who don't do much, and the fault in our stars. So, at the bottom of an exam, bc there was space, I wrote a polite short PS to the teacher about the lack of female characters this year. This was on friday, today is sunday, and monday I am going to be in a ton of trouble for it. Bc teachers don't like it when you call them out on their crap and lack of equality. This has been a PSA on saying things that you are not prepared to argue about in your second language. Keep you posted, if I don't get strangled.
UPDATE: Holy shit it worked. My teacher was like "Yeah, I agree with you." and I was like "Omg what?" and she told me she was looking for books with female characters in them and I seriously can't believe it worked.
