Standardized tests really are BS indicators of quality, in general, and the MCAT especially. But if anything, it’s preparing me for what I can expect from the boards exams I know are in the future. 🙃

Today my goal is to catch up in neurobio, attend an epilepsy conference, and send some important emails.

Final Exam Crunch Day #1

The finals studying has begun. This year I have three papers, and a final exam. I made a schedule and then immediately became overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have to do everyday. Why I didn’t start earlier is the question of my life.

Anyway, the goal today is to finish watching lectures for the last unit of neurobiology, make the according study guides, and possibly fit in some Indian philosophy readings and essay editing.

Sigh, another day to work on applications. People already getting rejected freaks me out. Like I haven’t even turned them all in.

It’s been awhile. Just keeping on with the med school process. In my time off I have been reading Sylvia Plath’s biography (Red Comet). I have also finished two seasons of Succession. Oh my god, Kendall better win this season, he’s been through enough.

Does anyone want to read my Tamil essay about the CIA? Disclaimer it’s straight up terrible lmao.

Today is chem lab due day! So that’s what I will be up to for 99% of the day.

I wanted this one doctor to mentor my project but I think she’s too busy so I’m kind of sad about that. I gotta find someone else ASAP.

Also I’m so behind in neurobiology! I think I’ll spend the day tomorrow catching up on that and Indian philosophy. And then the next day I’ll focus completely on my independent study to prep for my meeting on Friday.

Long time no see. This semester has been a mess. I’m expecting my grades to be pretty eh. But whatever, there’s extenuating circumstances.

Today I need to write a paper, finish chem prelab, and submit some reports.

Well as usual I pushed everything to last minute. So here I am frantically trying to finish a chem prelab, chem quiz, and an essay all due today. Wish me luck, I’ll need it to survive the next two weeks.

Tomorrow I have a meeting with my research supervisor where I’ll have to show him that I’m doing something with my life which I am not. Sigh.

Currently reading: “The Time of Our Lives” by Peggy Noonan. My new books are coming today though! I ordered “Mama might be better off dead” and “a brown girls guide to politics”
