Day Five: Quintessentially british

There's so many books that could fit this category, it's very hard to choose. So i'm keeping only my favorites, even though it's at the cost of originality...

British humor:

The Jeeves books (the complete serie) by P.G Wodehouse

British detectives:

The complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. 

British Period Drama: 

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Children books:

Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

British sci-fi/fantasy:

Day four: for chilly nights

They are all favorite of mine and perfectly written: they  deliver sometimes  a very high level of strangeness that is very unsettling and will make you very anxious, sometimes an unbearable level of darkness.

I recommend this list to people who want a a ticket to travel in the threathening  places of the human mind.

Day three: On my Chrismas list

I'm not celebrating Christmas and since  most of my family think i have too much books and should sell them, this list is basically just me treating myself when i feel like i need some comfort or deserve it, or when i have money and sometimes also when i don't have money....

I read books in french almost exclusively (keeping english for articles) by choice. Unfortunately, we have in my country a law which imposes on all retailers a unique price for books. Consequently, books cost a lot here and there's never sales...Which is why i love secondhand shops.
