ooh this one is tough, but I have to say Dutch. and not in sense where I’m like “uwu Dutch was a good person he was just manipulated by Micah!” but like... in the sense that there are a lot of people saying exactly that and there are a lot of people saying that Dutch is really disgusting/abusive/etc. and idk if we really do know (no matter how much you love or hate him). I would love to think that he was a good person and he wasn’t a total bitchboy until micah got in his ear and Hosea died and he got concussed but... probably not. and I don’t think we’re really supposed to know, it’s probably meant to be up to interpretation.

Bertha Goudy's lovely composition of her husband's types in Elements of Lettering, 1922 at the Village Press.⁣ ⁣ The Madison library system had done a great injustice to this original first edition, printed from the original type.
