Regardless if anybody thinks F is L's son, the boobgate could have been disastrous for his career if it had been picked up beyond some tabloids.
Much like babygate was possibly intended to push L's solo career, boobgate could have destroyed it. Much of L's image is built on his loving nature and his commitment to his loved ones. And now there was suddenly the accusation that he is a dead-beat dad.
I have recently listened to the 1D episode of the Pop Pantheon podcast (a podcast where the host and guests discuss the cultural impact of artists). The episode was published in late 2021. And when they very shortly talked about the solo eras, it made me reflect how much L has achieved in the last four years alone, after the publication of the podcast. His three well selling world tours and his two UK #1 albums were still to come.
That is to say, I think the appeal to attract new fans could have potentially been ruined with accusations of him being a dead-beat dad. Even if bbg ends they can still say that L is very close with F because Zara's stories have helped to corroborate the narrative that he spends all his time off-work in LA with the lad.
I 100% believe the last five years of Louis playing devoted dad was because Briana was greedy and wanted someone else to pay for her new boobs.
It could have ruined his image, but also there had to have been so much fraud committed and Iāll bet you anything the people actually responsible would leave Louis holding the bag if it came down to it.
