Don’t let Bonito's rolling hills and beaucollic farms fool you, its big thrills are hiding below the surface. Follow the dirt roads and spelunk into the depths, and you will find over 200 limestone caves, blue grottos, bubbling springs, macaw-filled caverns, and some seriously epic scuba diving. This region of Mato Grosso do Sul is the adventure capital of Brazil and the world’s first carbon-neutral ecotourism destination! We’d been hearing about this up-and-coming getaway everywhere from sustainable travel summits to the pages of National Geographic magazine, so as eco-adventure junkies we had to come experience Mato Grosso do Sul (also home to the world’s largest tropical wetland!). We spent five days exploring Bonito’s boundless attractions, and are excited to share our 8 favorite adventures—from rapelling 236 feet into a blue grotto, to cave diving between stalactites and stalagmites. @VisitMSoficial
