Stop Bullying Your Customers Creators
So in the interest of not having BonesSims convoluted monstrosity of a post on our feed we decided to make a dedicated one. Today a kind contributor emailed us a Patreon post BS posted today essentially threatening her Patrons that attempted to share her content via email.
Note, this isn't a screenshot of the post, this is directly from Patreon which was forwarded to us and screenshotted on Patreon (Pink are our censors, the original post did not censor first names):
I know, I know what youre thinking. After she wrote that novella momming the community? Yes, you read that right. The irony is somehow, this conversation got morphed into a thing about EA's EULA when it's not, it's about privacy. One that Miss Bone is unfit to contribute to.
She has since tried to make two additional sneak edits. like this is much better, you still have access to their emails, how can you be trusted now when we know you partake in this behavior? Especially after you tried to wag your finger at everyone just the other day *eye-roll* you can keep up with her probably hourly sneak edits on her Patreon, I dunno we won't be following it closely. That's not the point. The point is EULA was never our narrative privacy was the conversation, a conversation Bones clearly needs a lesson on.
Is it illegal? Probably not, but its, shady, scummy, and frankly weirdo behavior, and it's gotta stop. Just block and move on, what's the point of publishing their username, if for no other reason than to name and shame them? Customers have had it with abusive creators, this is just one of many tips we receive daily. Most of them we decide not to post because we aren't in the interest of taking down each and every creator but we do want to call out particular egregious instances, especially from those that attempted to be a moral authority mere days ago.
Imagine being so sanctimonious the other day then threatening to release your patronโs (people who are paying you money) usernames, and to what end? What does that accomplish? To send harassment their way? Not to mention you are tracking email links. You have proven yourself unfit and undeserving of that information.
THIS IS ENTITLEMENT
That you are entitled to track content that doesnโt belong to you for the purpose of exposing information that could lead to targeted harassment. So letโs stick to the topic at hand shall we, this is a conversation about privacy one that YOU are unfit to chime in on so take several seats. The adults are speaking. Letโs this be a lesson to you. Your patrons will no longer tolerate your rude behavior. Stop mistreating them or they will expose you. Your days of them taking your intimidation are over, so just stop. That ship has sailed. Telling the truth is not harassment, reporting on your problematic behavior is not harassment. This was submitted to us by a PAYING CUSTOMER OF YOURS. Let that sink in. Do not shame us, if you don't like what you see we suggest, looking in the mirror and fixing your behavior first.
Update, Bonesims self admittedly infiltrates pirating groups ๐:
