Just watching some Bones edits and it occurred to me:

When Curby is hunting Brennan and Russ in season 2, he shoots Russ at the diner. None of the target pictures they found were for Russ in the diner so how did he know he could make the shot?

Russ and Booth were sat at his and Bones’s usual table.

It was where he planned to shoot Bones.
