-- You say it like I never do.
Naked, wrapped up in flesh and blankets, and she is just so tiny compared to him. With his arms wrapped around her middle and her back arched, the blinds that cover the window next to the bed fanning out early morning light on them both. She turns a darkly crowned head towards him, down at him, having to peak between the swell of her breast and the definition of her arm to see where his face is tucked against her. He looks like a boy, like this. Holding on and mumbling into the sheets, even if the vulgar words and deeper voice would never fit a child. He looks open like this, and it cuts her. Slashes in her skin like the lacerations across her back, and there is an open mouthed sigh released into the room. Heaven and Hell have no place in the presence of tangled, hot sheets.
She fights with his grip again, this time trying to burrow back in against him. This goes a bit better, seeing as how a loose hand even hooks under her knees and flips her onto her back as he drags her down. She makes a soft noise, even if there is no fight. She is wholly used to being manhandled, it comes with the 'job'. His hands are much rougher than Vergil's used to be when he moves her about, but they are also warm and comforting. Nothing like the detached cold that would choke her when eyes would glow bright. "Nh..." She didn't need to think about that, not with this Nephilim next to her. No-- Dante was here. She was safe.
She presses her face against his chest, spreads her toes as she rakes them down his thigh beneath the covers, and he rumbles at her. It's comforting, like the palms on her back, like the breath (even with the heavy scent of liquor still on it) on her face. He is warm, real, pliable and feeling in ways she perhaps maybe did not expect. A strangely bare palm runs down his face, against the stubble of his jaw, tucking along the curve of his neck. She stays, for now. For this morning, even if she slips out not even two hours later to try to cook something for him to abate the undoubtedly coming hangover. She is with him, and right then, that's all that mattered. She closes her eyes, and fingers shift back to press against his tattoo.
