The song that he’s playing can’t be heard over his headphones---he actually has the volume of his headphones down jussst enough to hear himself sing-screaming over his yellow rubber gloves & scrubber brush---but he’s too enrapt in his music to hear Joey come in. He gets through the entire song---before he finally notices Joey behind him.
