Bob James β TouchdownΒ
Touchdown is the sixth album by Bob James, released in 1978 on his Tappan Zee label through Columbia Records. The albumβs title is a reference to this being Jamesβ sixth solo album (a touchdown being worth six points in American football), a pattern also followed by his previous album Heads (featuring a five cent coin on its cover) and next album Lucky Seven.
Bob James β Two
Two is the fourth solo album by jazz keyboardist Bob James.
Bob James largely defined pop/jazz crossover in the β70s. Two, reissued by Koch, is typical of his output. Mixing together aspects of pop, R&B and classical with just a touch of jazz, James (heard throughout on electric keyboards) put the emphasis on catchy melodies and lightly funky rhythms. The results range from insipid to pleasant, with a brass section, a string section, and vocalists (including Patti Austin) utilized to create what is essentially background music (Scott Yanow/AllMusic).
Bob James β BJ4
BJ4 is the fourth solo album by jazz pianist Bob James. Released in 1977, the album charted at number three on the Jazz Album Charts. This would be his last CTI album before starting his label Tappan Zee Records, named for one of the tracks on this album.

Fourplay β Letβs Touch the Sky
Letβs Touch the Sky is the 11th studio album (12th overall) of the jazz group Fourplay, released in 2010. It is the first Fourplay album with Chuck Loeb, who replaced Larry Carlton on the guitar.
βFourplayβs formulaic approach is firmly intact on Letβs Touch the Sky and the band is firing on all cylinder, making this a fine entry in 2010βs contemporary jazz oeuvre.β β Thom Jurek/AllMusic.
