#OTD in 1982, The Wall the movie, directed by Alan William Parker, whose screenplay was written by Roger Waters , and with animated sequences created by illustrator Gerald Scarfe and Roger, was released in the United Kingdom and in the US in limited exhibition and despite having been shown in only one theater in its opening weekend.
Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof stars as Floyd "Pink" Pinkerton, Kevin McKeon as young Pink, David Bingham as young Pink, Christine Hargreaves as Pink's mother, Eleanor David as Pink's wife.
