Spent the day filming Jean Louis Bourgeois at his mother’s studio with Bob Coen. ‪#‎LouiseBourgeois‬ ‪— New York City

Facing the mighty Mediterranean, filled with ghosts, joy and tears, too. Sunken cities, shipwrecks abound which carried goods, slaves. It’s the gates of the old world and its values... My earliest memory was running to the sea. Its climate and vegetation is my skin; olive, wine and pine trees. It’s my natural mystic vitality charger. I receive the information of the ages that oozes, ebbs and flows. In the aftermath of these 15 days spent in Greece, some things will never be the same in my regard. To smell humanity as Bob put it, on those beautiful people who has been demonised as muslims from the third world (what a fucking ridiculous term). It was such a wonderful chance to look deep into the well of my life, my work and my objective which is clearly the same thing. For the consistence and transparency, I can take credit, I was just a kid when what I am doing was loaded into me. Never to this day, I have wavered an inch, a second. I accept being the conduit... And I am not afraid. So, filmmaker Bob Coen and I was in Kos, volunteering with refugee services which brought together most amazing people from all over the world, helping, caring for the displacement of millions of people as a result of the conflicts created by the same vampires who are eating into your soul and future, as well. The administration of the poison; dominion of subjects, power and greed. We have been filming and through those revelations captured, a full streak of significant epiphanies enthralled in our overlapping personal quests. Shumba ya Mukwashi - "The lion spirit of the hunter" by Chartwell Dutiro. This is the fruit of my first collaboration with the valiant truth-seeker; filmmaker Bob Coen, reminding us about the suffering and endurance, about the healing powers of Africa in the shadow of the biggest slave trade centre of all time, the Wall Street. The monument you will see in the video is the memorial site that marks the mass burial ground for some 15,000 slaves discovered in the 90s.
