“I miss her sometimes,” the words had come out soft, almost inaudible, but they were very much heard, as the atmosphere was noticeably shifted, growing heavy between the black and white Spider and the lost, regretful Spider.

“Not sometimes,” Peter B. corrected himself, letting out a bitter chuckle, “All of the time.”

Noir turned his gaze to Peter, a frown hidden behind his mask, “What was she like?” he found himself asking. There was a long pause, and Noir felt a seed of regret bloom in his stomach as he wondered if he had upset his friend. Before he could quietly apologize, Peter replied, “She was the girl of my dreams.”

“‘Was?’”

Peter B. felt his throat tighten, adjusting his sitting position on the building the pair sat atop of, “Yeah...” he lied, “Was...”

The black and white Spider felt guilt weigh on him, wishing he could say something to comfort his alternate self, “I...” he found himself starting, gently placing a hand on Peter B.’s shoulder, “I’m sorry,” was all he could manage, unsure of what else to say. Noir wanted to try and understand how Peter B. felt, but he was never romantically attached to his Mary Jane, seeing her only as a close friend.

“It’s fine, Noir,” Peter B. replied, offering him a small smile, that made something in Noir shift, and wish desperately that he could hold Peter B. close and reassure him that everything would turn out right. The darker Spider couldn’t, though, causing an ache in his chest, as it settled in that he may have developed a crush on... himself...

Before Noir had much time to do anything else, Peter B. stood up from his seat on the floor, tugging on his mask to hide the dejected look in his eyes, “It’s getting late, huh?” he stated, offering Noir his hand, “We should be getting back to the others.”

Jackson: If I were a gardener, I'd put our tulips together. 

Mark: Awwww

Over on the JJ Project Amino, we have begun a television series where myself, my co-leader, and our two curators are submitting weekly chapters to four different brand new stories surrounding our ship. We call it our fanfiction channel and it’s just getting its feet off the ground!

We run on a weird week due to an unavoidable situation, so each “show” has one chapter so far, but the second chapter of Gemstone is the next release.
