Good day, people of Beaumont! The sun is out, the crickets are chirping, and we are all ready and set to go for our Beaumont Annual 4th of July celebrations !!!
OOC INFORMATION
This post marks the beginning of our Fourth of July Weekend event.
In-game, the weekend will last from Thursday, July 4th until Sunday, July 7th. Out of character, this event will go on for two weeks, July 4th - July 18th. Below are the events that your characters can make starters about, post outfit posts, instagram posts, text chains/threads, the skyâs the limit!Â
If you are making an event related starter, make sure to tag it #bmontfourth as well as the usual #beaumontchat starter tag.
 You may continue your regular threads alongside event ones, or put them on hold while the event is taking place, the choice is entirely up to you.
AROUND TOWN
Under the cut you will find the events happening around town, and donât miss a very special, high stakes game at the end!Â
PARADE. â  Starting off at the Mayorâs residence at 12 p.m. and weaving through Main Street all around downtown, this yearâs parade is certainly not one to be missed â featuring the Tennessee State University marching band.
BLUEGRASS BRUNCH. â  Sawyerâs will be hosting a bluegrass brunch from 10:00am to 3:00pm, featuring live bluegrass music, bottomless mimosas, a Bloody Mary bar, and southern brunch cuisine.
BBQ. â There will be a cookout on Main Square. Hot dogs, burgers, sliders, and even veggie burgers for those who desire them, all for $1. The Catfish promises a FREE slider for all those who purchase their craft beer. Proceeds to benefit St. Maryâs Orphanage.
SCAVENGER HUNT AND TRIVIA GAME. â Get ready to be split into teams and be sure to charge up your smartphones, a scavenger hunt and trivia game is coming your way! Prizes to be won.
BEAUMONT PICTUREHOUSE. â The Picturehouse will be hosting a special double bill screened on the green at 8pm on Main Square, featuring Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and National Treasure (2004). Admission is free!
MAGIC CITY. â Lapdances and private dances will be half price all weekend long!
FIREWORKS VIEWING PARTY AT GREAT FALLS B&B. â Great Falls Bed and Breakfast will be hosting a VIP fireworks viewing party, from 8pm to 1am, on the 4th and the 5th. There will be access to the rooftop, hors dâoeuvres, a signature cocktail, live DJ, and spectacular views of the fireworks. Tickets $50 per person.
FIREWORKS. â There will be fireworks displays at midnight on the 4th and 5th of July. Make sure not to miss this! The best vantage points to see the fireworks will be on Main Square, Beaumont Park and Westcott Park. Please note: bringing pets to the firework shows is not advised.Â
SPIN THE WHEEL OF (MIS)FORTUNE
We have a very special wheel coming to town...to participate is free, but the consequences...well, they may last forever. Only kidding, but do know that there will be a 50/50 chance of your character winning something good, or bad! For example, you might win a year pass to the Beaumont Picturehouse, or you might get volunteered as a clown for the Beaumont Rodeo! Itâs all a luck of the draw â or in this case, a spin of the wheel. There will be a grand prize of $5,000 for one lucky winner. Do you dare spin the wheel?
OOC :If you dare to spin the wheel of fortune, send the ask âIâm in!â from your characterâs blog to the main. If youâd like to enter multiple characters, list their names as well. Entries must be sent in no later than Thursday, 11 July, 21:30 gmt. As our Easter Festival comes to a close, weâd like to say thank you to all the people who took the extra time to make it special. But first things first, we will announce winners.

                 BEAUMONT EASTER FESTIVAL
                     APRIL 21 - APRIL 29Â
Easter has come to the town of Beaumont, and celebrations are underway! Please note that this is not a full, official event, it is simply a background event that will be running in the background of the roleplay for the duration of the week. Just think of it as something happening in the town as your character goes about their business. (no participation necessary!)
Whatâs ON.  Here are just a few things that will be happening around town during this holiest of holidays:
The town hall will be sponsoring Beaumontâs official Easter egg hunt, with huge prizes to be won. An Easter field day including an egg and spoon race, cake walk, easter egg roll, hay rides, petting zoo, and more!
Sunday service at St. Johnâs, followed by a huge bake sale and food drive for the homeless and needy.Â
A 20% discount at Sawyerâs if you provide a flyer proving you attended Sunday service.Â
A special rodeo show at Northern Ranch, featuring clowns, easter bunnies, and more!

What YOUR CHARACTER can do during this event:
You may include this event and any of its features in your starters, incorporate it into your threads, text threads, so on and so forth. The tentative end date is the 29th, but threads/starters/mentions of the Easter Festival can of course continue on longer than that.
Gifts your character may send to another for Easter. (because why should we wait for just Christmas?)
Prizes will be announced for the following: the Beaumont Easter egg hunt, and the egg roll. (if your character under no circumstances would participate in such games, let us know, and we wonât throw them into the randomizer.)Â
