Aaah this is really short but I hope it's ok!! Blake and Lynn make my heart 💞

Blake returned to the office with two cups of coffee, offering one to Lynn with a kiss on her temple. "How's it going?"

"Like shit," Lynn groaned and took the cup gratefully. Blake chuckled and took a seat next to her at the desk. Miscellaneous files covered to desk and there were at least four other articles pulled up on the monitor. "None of these are making sense. They all have completely different accounts of what happened."

Blake picked up one of the files and started flicking through it. One of the schools a town over had a fire tear though and destroy about half of it. The problem is, they don't know how the fire started. Foul play is being highly suspected, but there wasn't enough clear evidence to accuse anyone yet. "Where did it start again?" Blake asked.

"The auditorium. The drama club was rehearsing at the time and yet nobody saw what happened."

"Leave it to the theater kids." Blake smiled, "You remember when we were in our school play?" Technically, they never fully performed it. The play was cancelled after the accident, for obvious reasons.

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that," Lynn smiled wistfully. "Beauty and the Beast. Can't believe we had 'amazing chemistry' even back then, according to Sister Theresa."

"I just think she knew that you would deck any other boy who tried to come near you," he nudged her playfully.

"True," she laughed and looked up at Blake, brown eyes almost twinkling with mischief. "You know, we never did get to do that kiss." 

"Was marrying me not enough?"

Suddenly, Lynn got up from her chair and bowed before Blake, "Now look into my eyes, Belle," she recalled in a comically deep voice, "Now don't you recognize the man within the beast that's here before you?"

"It is you!" said Blake in a mock high voice before swooping Lynn and kissing her. Well, the actual kissing was made difficult by their grins and giggling.

"Hey," Blake noted after they pulled away, "I seem to remember me being the beast."

Lynn raised an eyebrow. "Look at me and say you remember any of your lines."

"Not a word," he grinned and kissed her again.

Neither of them think they deserve the other. Boone thinks he’s an awful person that doesn’t deserve someone like Lynn. And Lynn has convinced herself that’s she’s not worth of love from anyone.
