honey  laughed  a  bit  at  his  words,  setting  the  bag  down  on  the  table  and  beginning  to  pull  out  the  contents  from  it.  “  i  figured  that  would  sweeten  the  pot  a  little  bit.  ”  she  joked,  her  nerves  running  high  but  doing  her  best  to  hide  it.  honey  was  nervous  to  say  the  least,  not  knowing  how  exactly  she  would  tell  matt  the  truth  of  why  she  was  really  here.  (  that  she  thought  about  him  all  the  time  or  missed  him  whenever  they  weren’t  around  each  other.  )  “  how’ve  you  been  ?  how’s  work  ?  ”  she  asked  casually,  cracking  open  a  beer  that  she  had  gotten  herself  and  offering  another  to  matt.  “  for  me,  things  at  the  bar  have  been  pretty  much  the  same,  busy  as  usual  but  manageable.  ”  she  purposefully  left  out  the  little  tidbit  about  the  last  time  she  was  here,  wondering  if  he  would  even  bring  it  up.
