hi. normally I wouldn’t give an ask like this the time of day, but I want to use it as a learning lesson, if you’re thinking about sending in an ask here.

these boys are 16. I am 25. yes, I’ve drawn them older here because I have a design that I like and I don’t want their younger selves talking about this. yes, I’ve poked a joke or two about sex being hinted at when asks like that come up (because I believe it’s unrealistic to pretend it doesn’t exist between two consenting teenagers—thus addressed it with a cheeky quip and moved on, but never actually drew anything so damning).

however, just because an ask isn’t explicitly about sex, doesn’t mean it’s not nsfw or inappropriate on this blog. it should go without saying that asking for a certain fetish or hinting at it falls into that category. this ask is referring to another ask here, where this certain fetish was hinted at, and I thought I addressed it—by suggesting otherwise. by not talking about it. that’s my polite way of saying, “those things make me very uncomfortable; please don’t bring it up with me again.” and yet, it got brought up again.

as an adult with an audience of a lot of minors, this point might not come across well. but it’s not just about my integrity; it’s for the safety of my audience and for my own safety. just remember to please be mindful of what you want to send and think: is this appropriate for a 25 year old to draw for 16 year olds? is this considered a kink or fetish and should therefore not be asked?

I put a lot of effort into my asks and try to get to one a day because I have so many (sometimes from one person sending a ton of asks at once—another peeve of mine that I think takes away from other people wanting to ask since I answer these in order). if you read this monster, please reply with, “lightheim is canon” with a fun fact about yourself. It’s a bit of a complex situation - within the dimension Robert ended up in, Bikini Bottom technically doesn’t exist at all. He sort of learned this the hard way during a failed attempt to find his home again, and he eventually gave up on trying when he realized they were all in a whole other dimension entirely.

However!! Sandy didn’t give up on trying to find him. She used her scientific know-how to figure out a way to find him within time and space itself, but it took her years to do so. She’s the only one who eventually travels into the other dimension and is able to reconnect with Robert after all those years ;0; (It does take her a little while to confirm that Robert is SpongeBob, though - she obviously had no idea he had turned human within that time haha)
