You are really talented! How do you get good at drawing? And how many hours at average do your drawings take?
Thanks!
I’ve always done it since I was very little, so ‘lots of practice’ is the simplest answer. It really came naturally for me, but if you’re starting later I’d say to just be patient with yourself and find styles/mediums/subject matters that you enjoy, otherwise you’ll get frustrated with it. There’s no point in doing something if you’re not excited about it.
Also, set goals and reflect! Try to imagine where you want your skills to be in a couple of months, and every couple of months reflect back to see how far you’ve improved. When I fall into an art slump I always go back to works I’ve done years ago, even just months ago and compare those to my recent ones for a confidence boost.
As for how long my art takes, it varies a lot. If we’re talking about a polished piece, it can be anywhere from 4 hours to as many as 20 and beyond… 🥲
