A tempestuous #French #SaturdayMusic #musicreview from #BluesAgain Oui! 🇫🇷 "It is always pleasant to find the slightly scratchy voice and the overflowing energy of this inspired woman, especially when she has a few handpicked guests to sublimate her compositions. Nine in total, plus a cover of 'Can't Find My Way Home' (by Steve Winwood) where you can hear Lance Lopez's guitar which can be found on several titles including 'King Kong' and 'Queen Of The Nile' slow blues on which he serves us a solo which if not of anthology is at least stratospheric. The other guitarist is Michael Puwal who has the equally sharp pick and which Eliza has taken on as co-producer on a few numbers. Eliza needs at least guys like that to accompany her tempestuous and sensual voice at the same time. Note that on the three aforementioned tracks, Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd) takes care of the keyboards. On two others, 'Heathen' and 'Got A Gun' it is John Galvin (Molly Hatchet) who provides the B3 and the piano. Just with these people, we understand that the matter is serious and solid. The blues is always present, sometimes in the background, even if the machine has hints of blues-rock and Southern rock thanks to the three drummers and as many bassists called in to support the point.
