How did we get here? The answer isn’t just Trump. It’s the Democrats. They lost the fight—and the plot.

While Republicans were out there branding, mobilizing, and feeding off people’s frustrations, Dems were sitting behind closed doors writing white papers. Seriously? They understood one key thing: politics isn’t about being “right”; it’s about playing the game—power, perception, populism. Dems gave them nothing but lectures and policy jargon. Newsflash: We lost.

We used to be the party of the working class, but now? We tweet from an ivory tower and wonder why people are pissed off. You want to fix the party? Go back to the people. Show up where they are. Talk about jobs. Talk about healthcare. Talk about real, tangible shit, not Twitter clout. Dems need to stop pretending every vote can be won in a think tank and start connecting to the people who actually need help.

You want a comeback? Try starting by giving a damn about the people outside of your bubble. They’re tired of being lectured. They’re tired of being ignored. When was the last time a Democrat stood up and said, “You matter, and here’s why we’re fighting for you”? It’s been too long.

This isn’t just about policy. It’s about fighting—fighting for real change, not playing catch-up with Republicans. If we keep letting authoritarian creep slide while writing op-eds, we’ll lose it all.
